She was there when a shooter killed three people inside the Colorado Springs clinic. When fake sting videos put staff into hiding. When Medicaid funding vanished overnight. When SB8 went into effect — and the calls didn’t stop. These things didn’t break her. They hardened her for the fight. Now she’s asking.

John holds an MBA from Emory University and is a seasoned product and UX leader with a deep commitment to social justice, and over 14 years of experience designing and scaling digital products that solve complex, real-world problems. He has led cross-functional teams, developed strategies for highly regulated and sensitive industries, and built systems that prioritize user privacy and accessibility.

Patrick

Technology Lead

For more than 20 years, Patrick worked deep inside the machinery of corporate software: enterprise systems, retail platforms, consulting firms, deadlines, meetings about meetings, and at least one spreadsheet nobody truly understood.

But eventually he decided his skills were better used fighting for actual humans instead of quarterly earnings reports.

A graduate of Colorado State University, Patrick believes people deserve autonomy over their own bodies, their healthcare, and the decisions that shape their families and futures. Now he builds technology in service of that mission instead.

When crisis hits, helpers appear. Neighbors open their doors, offer rides, give spare time. Those everyday helpers are some of the most powerful resources we have. Indigo Bird turns that instinct into infrastructure, building the tools that connect people in crisis with community members ready to offer space, time, and care.

Our mission is to turn everyday helpers into bona fide sidekicks, building the tools that transform existing resources into scalable support, so access to care isn’t determined by money, location, or connections. Our flagship project, Gloria, puts this into action, connecting people traveling for abortion care with last-minute vacancies in donated short-term rentals.
